Conditions of Entry
Art Work
All forms and sizes of sculpture in all materials are eligible for entry to Sculpture on the Peninsula. There is no size, style, content, or material restrictions on works submitted .The exhibition site can accommodate the largest to the smallest sculpture. There is a large outdoor area with many sites available and there are also indoor locations in the form of farm sheds and verandahs.
Artists are able to submit 3 pieces of work or an installation of work (an example of this is the 2011 Award Winner, Cheryl Lucas, Harder Larder, in the slaughter house).
Site Specific Installation Work
Sculpture on the Peninsula particularly encourages installations. Specific areas on the property have been identified that would suit installations; these are identified on the map.
- Slaughter House
- Top of the Hill
- Woodland area
- Old Stables
- Milking shed
- Significant trees
- Corrugated iron walls of farm buildings
Where artists are making a submission for an installation, they are encouraged to propose 3 different sites in order of preference . If you are unfamiliar with the landscape and environment, please include in your submission a description of the type of site or landscape you would prefer.
Installation sites will be allocated according to appropriateness by the curatorial panel.

Curatorial Policy
Sculpture on the Peninsula provides an opportunity for artists to balance their own creative vision with the challenge of place and is inclusive of all modes of sculpture. This curatorial policy will be used when considering artist submissions.
Awards
$10,000.00 Sculpture on the Peninsula Award judged by Lara Strongman
$1,500.00 The Loons People's Choice Award - open to all work exhibited
Judge
Lara Strongman will judge the Sculpture on the Peninsula Award when all work is installed on site. The Award winner will be announced at the Grand Opening on Friday 6 November 2015.
Submission
By Post
- Photographs and/or working drawings must be A4 size.
- The entry form must be completed and accompany the photographs and/or working drawings.
- Photographs and working drawings must be clearly labelled on the reverse side with artist’s name and name of the work they refer to.
- A4 résumé of artist is to be included
- Proposals will be retained by Sculpture on the Peninsula.

Deadline
All submissions must arrive at 47 Reserve Terrace, Lyttelton 8082 or gill@sculpturenz.co.nz by Saturday 4 July 2015.
Acceptance
All artists will be notified by post or email if they have been successful or not. Acceptance letters will be posted or emailed on 31 July 2015. Further information regarding installation and the event process will be included.
Sale
All work must be for sale. 40% commission inclusive of GST will be taken on the sale of work.
Publicity
All exhibitors agree to the publication of reproductions of their work by the Trust and by the media for the purpose of promoting the artist, the work and the objectives of the Trust at any time and without payment of commission or royalty.
Freight
Sculpture on the Peninsula does not cover freighting costs.
